About Version 2.0

Modified in Version 2.0

The following functions have been modified in ways that may affect/break code based on Version 1:

• BlockProcessing - the optional last argument has been dropped

• EdgeMagnitude - the option GradientType→None may be used to return a list of directional edge images and the option NonMaxSuppress has been added to permit suppression of false edge responses

• FromChannels - the option ColorFunction has been added and all inputs must now be grayscale images

• ImageData - the range of supported color spaces has been extended to include the CIE spaces X Y Z, L^*a^*b^*, and L^*u^*v^* and an unspecified color space (with option setting ColorFunction→None)

• ImageRotate - the option FullImageView has been added and the implementation is significantly faster for interpolation of order 0, 1, and 3

• ImageWarp - the implementation for interpolation of order 0, 1, and 3 has been modified for speed

• LaplacianFilter - the filter can now be of any desired dimension

• OptimumThreshold - input argument must be a histogram; in Version 1 it was an image. New methods have been added

• RegionPoints - Circle and Disk have been added to the list of supported Graphics primitives

• ToChannels - the function has been modified to return a list of single-channel grayscale images

• WarpMatrix - the formulation for a general geometric transformation has been modified; the resulting matrix has dimensions that are different than in Version 1
