EdgeOrientation

EdgeOrientation[img, {h₁, h₂}] returns the orientation of a gradient edge image resulting from the application of two directional edge operators to img.

The argument img may be a matrix or ImageData expression.

To obtain an edge orientation map, select an edge filter and apply it to the image. This calculates the edge directions using the Sobel filter.
