X-Y Plot

You can use the SmartPlot feature to create a plot of any function.

1. Type a function and select it.

2. Click SmartPlot on the Home Controller    or select SmartPlot from the Graphics menu or use the keyboard shortcut s. The SmartPlot InstantCalculator for the selected function appears and a graph of the function is pasted into the notebook.

3. Mathematica CalcCenter automatically chooses an appropriate range and style for the graph by default. You can enter new values for the range in the text fields provided or select a different style or plot type from the pop-up menus provided. Click Calculate to redraw the graph after making any changes.
