Inserting Cross-References

To insert a cross-reference:

1. Place your cursor where you wish to insert a cross-reference.

2. Click the Insert from Outline button under the Cross-References tab of the document palette (or choose Insert RightTriangle Cross-Reference) to see an outline view of your document, with all of the elements that can be cross-referenced.

3. Select any of the listed items to insert as a cross-reference.

An alternative method (if the above does not find the element you want to reference):

1. Select the cell you wish to use as the target of the cross-reference.

2. In the document palette, click Target XRef under the Cross-References tab.

3. Place the cursor where you wish to insert the cross-reference and click Insert XRef in the document palette.
