Inserting Endnotes

To insert an endnote:

1. In the document palette, click Insert Note under the References tab. A dialog box appears.

2. In the "Text:" field, type in the text of the endnote.

3. In the "Key:" field, type in a keyword for the endnote.

4. In the "Indicator:" field, specify some text to indicate the endnote in the main text. You can choose any of the following options.

FilledVerySmallSquare Leave the box blank to number the endnote automatically.

FilledVerySmallSquare Type some text into the text box.

FilledVerySmallSquare Click one of the buttons below the box to paste in the appropriate symbol.

5. Click OK to close the dialog box.

Once you have finished inserting endnotes, click Gather Notes in the document palette. This collects all the endnotes you entered, numbers them in order of appearance, and pastes them at the end of the document.
