About Class Demos

The Mathematica notebooks in this section were created by high school teachers who are active Mathematica users for a variety of subjects. We have included the notebooks for several reasons: to make it easy for you to get started with ready-made lessons, to give you ideas for lessons that you might create yourself, and to make it possible for educators to share their good ideas with each other.

You may use the notebooks as you see fit for your courses. Possible uses include: send a copy of a notebook to your students for investigative learning, use an informative animation for purposes of demonstration, or modify and personalize a notebook for your students-you choose.

If you want to demonstrate these notebooks in your classroom from within Mathematica TE, you can resize the Help Browser to fit your screen and then reset the on-screen presentation using the command Format RightTriangle Screen Style Environment RightTriangle Presentation. You can hide the categories at the top of the Help Browser by pressing the "Hide Categories" button.

If you would like to share your favorite Mathematica notebooks to be considered for inclusion of future versions of the Mathematica Teacher's Edition, please visit www.wolfram.com/courseware/application to submit them.

Thanks to Dale Beames, Susan Brown, Christopher Butler, Terry Coes, Ruth Dover, Virgina Highstone, Michael Oberle, Julie Poage, Travis Rose, Catherine Russell, Don Triezenberg, Albert Watson, and Kathleen Willson for their contributions.
