Show::gmed

Generated when no valid medium is found for graphics output.

Graphics output is normally sent to the stream specified in the value of $Display.

The output medium for plotting functions is taken by default from the value of $DisplayFunction.

When graphics are written using Display, the first argument specifies the output medium.

The values of $Display and $DisplayFunction are assigned during initialization and have different values on different types of computers.

This message can be generated if the output medium is not specified correctly or if the file or stream cannot be opened for writing.
