"BackgroundDialog" is a front end token that opens the Color dialog box for choosing a background color for the currently selected text or cell.

This token is equivalent to the menu command Format Background Color Other.

To execute a front end token, you typically evaluate a command of the form FrontEndExecute[FrontEndToken[token]].
