Make Index...

FilledSmallSquare Make Index creates an index from the cell tags in a notebook.

FilledSmallSquare The Make Index command paginates your notebook and then figures out what page each cell is on. When a cell has a cell tag, an entry is created in the index with that keyword and its corresponding page number(s).

FilledSmallSquare The index is copied onto the Clipboard and then can be pasted into a notebook or other file.

Form of index references:

Text Format

Generates a list of index entries followed by page numbers.

Hyperlinks

Generates a hyperlink for each cell tag.

Page References

Generates a list of index entries followed by counter boxes displaying their page numbers. This is valid only when Show Page Breaks is turned on.

Section References

Generates a list of index entries followed by counter boxes displaying their section numbers. This is valid only when Show Page Breaks is turned on.
