3.4.4 Uninstalling Mathematica

To remove Mathematica from your system, you must delete several files besides the Mathematica directory created by MathInstaller. The directory where executable scripts are installed (typically /usr/local/bin) contains the files math, MathKernel, mathematica, Mathematica, and mcc. The man pages are typically installed in /usr/man/man1, with pages for each executable. Each of these files can be deleted along with the Mathematica directory and its contents. There are also user initialization files stored in each user's home directory in ~/.Mathematica. These may also be deleted.
